Pakistan & EAFMM

Maintenance is the routine and recurring process of keeping an asset or a facility in its normal operating condition to deliver its performance or service with maximum possible uptime.
Engineering Asset & Facilities Maintenance Management (EAFMM)
as a discipline isn’t exactly new either. In the past, it was part of an operator’s job. However, since the last many decades’ changes, including technological, have taken place. After human assets, the physical assets of any organization are the most important resources. They both have a huge impact on service delivery, business objectives, and the bottom line.

“Manage them poorly and the whole business suffers”.

Manage them well and they become a basic component of value creation, today this task is a real challenge of EAFM.
We help you to establish, build, and run sustainable asset management policies, procedures, goals,  and plans aligned with business objectives  targets in line with ISO 5500x, and other internationally recognized standards or best practices

With the growth of industrialization and automation, the complexity is increased, which started separate disciplines. The technological revolution is resulting in rapid changes that require advanced management techniques. Considering all these facts the challenge faced by the community in the maintenance and operation of assets and facility in a sustainable way. For this dimension, effective use of Building Management system (BMS) or IIOT (Industrial internet of things) and condition monitoring in the built environment are representing a significant strategy in relation to the economy, higher energy efficiency, lower operating and maintenance cost. This creates a need for integration of Automation and Computer-Aided Facility Management Information (CAFI) systems which has been increased recently. Now it’s possible to integrate Computer-Aided Facility Management and Building Automation Systems to achieve the goal.

Need for Pakistan

Further grasp the clarity with applicable National / International codes / work practices for Globally compatible Pakistan

For a safe, reliable, and efficient industry/facility/equipment, adherence to applicable codes and standards at the time of manufacturing construction/design and maintenance are the minimum requirements – Globally. In Pakistan, the understanding and effectiveness of these standards and codes need to be reinforced widely. Due to this limitation, we usually face premature failures of our equipment or assets, facilities, industries, and particularly buildings. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system design and its maintenance of any typical facility is also a major concern as it is the same as lungs for the Human Body – it cleans the air, recirculates, and ventilates according to need. Commercial buildings need an energy-efficient system. Pharmaceutical products are dependent on temperature and humidity, the typical environment of hospitals has more challenges from general to critical care and research labs of infectious diseases. Poorly designed or maintained HVAC systems can transmit the disease from one person to another. In the post-COVID 19 scenarios it is the most critical part of any typical facility, revisit for the upgrade, and to improve the maintenance methods.
